Team Haiku is a Distributed Computing team dedicated to the following goals:
- Promotion of the Haiku operating system
- Development of distributed computing applications for Haiku.
- Utilization of computers to expand our understanding of the world we live in.

The Dimes Project (DCV): Team Haiku founder: umccullough Dimes is an "internet mapping" project which uses your computer location to trace routes to other Dimes users. Dimes is a java-based client that can be run either with a GUI, or as a service. It currently supports Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. Dimes does not use much CPU or bandwidth - but does use ~20-30mb memory for the JVM and client. This makes Dimes a very good project to run alongside other projects. |
